Auckland/Mount Maunganui/Rotorua/Taupo/Auckland
From Auckland take the road to Mt Maunganui via the Karangahake Gorge, stop for a quick refuel of bike and body in the Mt before carrying on to Rotorua to the North Islands tourism hub. Following day head to Taupo for lunch before riding through NZ’s pine forests back to Auckland via iconic logging towns such as Tokoroa and Putaruru. This trip can be extended by way of Matamata (Hobbiton).
